This policy describes how generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools are used on blog.bmarwell.de and how that usage is disclosed.
Transparency and Philosophy
Articles and pages on this blog are human-directed, human-authored, and human-curated. Generative AI tools may be used as collaborative assistants during drafting, research, and visual design. Transparency is essential for maintaining reader trust. Whenever generative AI materially assists in the creation of an article, that contribution is explicitly disclosed. AI-assisted visual assets are labelled separately.
When AI Assistance Is Disclosed
Articles are visibly marked as AI-assisted when the following criteria apply:
Material Prose and Drafting Assistance: AI tools were used to help draft, structure, synthesize research, or rephrase substantial portions of the text.
Assisted Code and Technical Examples: AI tools generated or materially structured code snippets, configuration files, or build scripts that form part of the article.
Assisted Translations: AI tools provided initial drafts or structural assistance for multi-language versions of an article.
Visual Assets and Composited Imagery: AI-generated images, graphics, or headers are labelled as such when they are curated, edited, or composited with other graphical work. This does not by itself mean that the article is AI-assisted.
What Does Not Require Disclosure
Routine editorial and mechanical tools do not trigger an AI-assisted disclosure. This includes:
Spelling, grammar, and style checkers (such as language linters).
Standard IDE auto-completions, type hints, and syntax highlighting.
Automated build tools, formatters, and link checkers.
Search engine optimization tools and automated keyword indexing.
These tools assist with mechanics and quality assurance without generating original substance.
Author Accountability
The author retains full editorial and legal responsibility for all published material. Every article, code sample, and graphic is reviewed, verified, and tested prior to publication. AI tools do not hold authorship, copyright, or moral responsibility for the contents of this blog. The author remains solely accountable for factual accuracy, code reliability, copyright compliance, and expressed opinions.
